Overall Vehicle Inspection
Before working on a vehicle, Eddy Fiuza inspects the car using an Electronic Paint Thickness Gage (ETG) in order to analyze the thickness of the paint and clear coat on each panel of the car. He also uses this same technique with cars which have been painted with a factory single-stage lauqer or Glasurit such as the Dino, F40, Testarossa, 308, 328, 348, 365BB, 512BB, Lamborghini Countach and others. His observations are crucial before beginning the polishing process in order to determine if there are enough mills of thickness present to avoid thinning or damaging the paint or clear. Eddy Fiuza uses his knowledge and skill to determine if a vehicle’s paint can be restored safely without causing damage.
Eddy Fiuza uses special lighting tools and magnification lenses to expose certain elements which cannot be easily seen with the naked eye. One such lighting tool is the Sun Gun which Eddy uses to look for any signs of pinholes, wet sanding scratches, swirls marks, towel scratches, mottle, and fish eyes. He is also able to determine if there are inconsistent color paint matches.
Eddy Fiuza uses his knowledge to educate his clients about the paint and body of their car before he even begins to work on the vehicle. He is able to determine if their vehicle has ever been repainted. Eddy Fiuza’s preparation techniques insure a higher level of protection than just waxing which allows him to make the car’s finish look and feel like new.
